He stated that the individual must have the ability to maintain his word and will honour all agreements made with them.
The governor spoke on Wednesday at Rumuji-Odegwe, where the Rivers branch of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) kicked off its campaign in Emohua Local Government Area with a rally.
Wike admonished Ohna Sergeant Awuse, a stalwart of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), who stated previously that party members in the state are eagerly awaiting his directive on the presidential election, to show patient.
He informed the leaders that he would shortly finalise negotiations with his political friends and communicate his choice to them.
"Chief Awuse stated, 'We are weary of waiting.' Indeed, we have grown weary of waiting. But do not fret. You've been patient. We will not take your patience for granted. Soon, the bell will sound. When you hear the bell, listen to where it is coming from and then proceed to perform as instructed.
"I can tell you that we will teach these buccaneers and vampires a lesson. All those who stated that Rivers State is unimportant will be informed that Rivers State is crucial. We will play with you if you play with us. If they choose to play with us, we will do the same. Enough is sufficient.
"Therefore, permit me to apologise and implore Ohna, Nne-New-Eli Emohua Local Government to endure. I can promise them that there will be no turning back," Wike stated.
The governor stated that he had been patiently waiting for those who had vowed to oust him from the PDP to make good on their threat.
He added that those delivering such threats were aware that the PDP was already polarised and that taking such action against him and his friends would result in the party's annihilation.
The governor of Rivers stated that the state has the strength to withstand the buccaneers and vampires who have already sold their consciences for pottage.
