Rachel, wife of Umahi and chairperson of the women's wing of the APC campaign council, led other stakeholders to show support for Nwifure and the party's candidates for various positions, according to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).

Nwifuru commended Umahi for his guidance throughout the years and vowed to uphold his legacy in all sectors if elected.

"I will conduct my administration on the basis of the people's needs charter, with open governance and performance management as its foundation.

"When it was time for the south to produce a governor, the Izzi people and the entire Ekumenyi bloc lent me their full support,"

He stated, "Nwifuru has been under my supervision for the past sixteen years, and he is eminently suited to continue with the divine mandate ideology."

"It is the Izzi clan's turn to administer the land they gave us, and nothing can take that away from them.

"Tinubu will govern Ebonyi in the same manner as President Muhammadu Buhari," he stated.

"Igbos prospered under Tinubu as governor of Lagos, and they continue to prosper. We lack sentimentality and will follow the individual who knows the way.

The governor called the allegation "unfounded" and urged voters to support Tinubu and all APC candidates in the upcoming general election.

Umahi, who is the Chairman of the South-East Governors' Forum, made this statement on Wednesday in Iboko, the capital of the Izzi Local Government Area, while launching the party's campaigns in all thirteen council areas of the state.

Gov. David Umahi of Ebonyi stated that, contrary to some rumours, All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Candidate Sen. Bola Tinubu loves the Igbo people.
