The Force Public Relations Officer, CSP Muyiwa Adejobi, responded to claims that officers were laying siege on the CBN governors by saying, "I am not aware."
There had been claims that police officers had been seen laying siege at the home of the Central Bank Governor, Godwin Emefiele, in the Maitama neighbourhood on Tuesday night. This was reportedly the case.
It was reported that armed police personnel had established a presence at No. 8 Colorado Street, Maitama, Abuja, which is the residence of the governor of the CBN.
