South-East will benefit most under Tinubu's presidency—APC PCC member

Chidimma G. Makuachukwu, a member of the New Media and Special Operations Directorate of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC Presidential Campaign Council, (PCC), stated that if Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is elected president, the South-East area of Nigeria will benefit the most.

Tuesday, Makuachukwu made this claim during an interview with Politics Hub, a political programme on Vanguard Online TV.

In the meantime, the APC PCC member has referred to Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi as the leader of unpatriotic Nigerians.

During the interview, Ada Anambra, who is well-known on social media, informed the host of the TV show, Bankole Idowu, that any Nigerian who disregards or attempts to undermine the nation's progress thus far is unpatriotic.

She believes that Obi is the leader of the unpatriotic Nigerians since he is the one pushing the movement.

She stated that the arrival of Obi made it plain to Nigerians that they must be patriotic, stating, "He (Obi) is a blessing in the sense that we have realised there are certain groups of Nigerians who do not believe in our nation.

She continued, "There are a large number of Nigerians who do not trust in the country and that a single advancement has been made, and his arrival gave us the realisation that there are people who do not believe in this nation."

Makuachukwu termed the Obidients (Obi's supporters) as a group of persons who do not believe Nigeria is developing and that the seven years of APC rule have had a beneficial impact on the nation.

She remarked, "They don't want to acknowledge the accomplishments of this government, but as the president mentioned, all of their attempts to ruin Nigeria have failed."

In the meantime, Makuachukwu also criticised Obi's candidature, claiming that the procedure that led to the Labour Party candidate's selection was dishonest.

"Every aspect of his candidature, including his emergence, was based on deceit. He had competition, but they reduced it down and gave it to him in this manner. "Others complained, but their voices were diminished; they silenced everyone," she stated.

When questioned if Obi was qualified to be the Labour Party's presidential candidate, Maduachukwu responded, "He was not. They presented him the flag in this manner."

Maduachukwu, speaking about the APC-led government, emphasised that President Muhammadu Buhari's administration has not failed, alleging that the media are simply attempting to damage the APC's achievements and reputation.

She stated, "Our problem is that numerous worldwide issues, particularly Covid-19, have harmed us. We are experiencing a global decline in oil prices and revenues. It affected us as a nation, even the United Kingdom and the United States, where everyone is facing their own issues. It's just that our citizens do not wish to comprehend that we face a difficulty and that the government is making every effort to address it.
