Gerald Chukwunonso Okoro, a law graduate from Enugu, joined the expanding list of Glo customers who are becoming homeowners through Globacom's Festival of Joy offer on January 6.

Okoro received the keys to a three-bedroom house from Glo officials and Enugu State Commissioner for Science and Technology, Chief Obi Kama, after winning a draw earlier on Thursday, January 5, at Gloworld, Polo Park, Enugu.

The ecstatic house winner dashed to Gloworld as soon as he was informed that he had won a house in the Glo promotion. He explained that he had just paid for a rental flat and was concerned about how he would raise finances to furnish it. Besides, his sister had been admitted to the hospital, and he had been there with her for days before the fateful contact from Globacom.

"We've been going through a lot for almost a month now, attending to her in the hospital. Globacom is the source of such fantastic news to brighten the horizon. This is the first happy event that has given us hope this year. "Every member of the family is overjoyed," he said. Okoro claimed that God had used Globacom to lessen his load. "I'm still stunned. My mind is racing. It appears to be a mirage. "I chose to participate in the promotion, but with everything I've been going through caring for my sister in the hospital, the last thing on my mind was a call from Globacom," the lawyer explained.

Chief Obi Kama, the presentation's special guest, praised Globacom for altering the lives of its clients with such an innovative subscriber-reward scheme. "Globacom has done well by keeping its subscribers' interests in mind and providing amazing prizes just for using their lines," he said.

Similarly, Mr Oliver Maduka, Coordinator of the National Lottery Regulatory Commission (NLRC) Enugu Zonal Office, said the NLRC had been closely monitoring the promotion and was delighted with Globacom for keeping its promise to subscribers.

"What Glo is doing is exceptional. Glo has been executing its promotions well. I am overjoyed for the winner because he was chosen through a very open process. "The playing field is level, and anyone can win," Maduka added. Globacom's Regional Manager, Mike Ehumadu, stated that the company was also providing other incredible prizes in the event, such as power generators, sewing machines, and rechargeable fans.

"To participate in this promo, voice and data customers must dial the dedicated short code *611# and recharge with N500 weekly to be eligible to win the rechargeable fan, N2,500 monthly recharge for the sewing machine, N5,000 monthly recharge for the generator, N10,000 monthly recharge for the car, and data subscription (s) of at least N20,000 during the promo period for the house," Ehumadu explained.
