Elehu was killed Thursday night by people who may have been hired assassins. They also burned down his country home and destroyed his things, including a motorcycle.
Christopher Elehu, also known as Wasco, has been killed. He was the candidate for the Labour Party in the Onuimo Local Government Area until he died. They broke into his house after everyone was asleep and shot for more than two hours.
"They burned down the man's house after killing him." His property was also destroyed. "When the villagers got together in the morning, his body was on the floor with matchet cuts," a local said.
