People said that Ugwuanyi's involvement in the Eha-Amufu crisis was what brought peace to the area, which they are now enjoying. They said that there have been no more attacks in the area since the governor called an emergency meeting to talk about peace and safety with people from Eha-Amufu.
They told the governor that they would vote for and support all Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidates in the state, including the party's candidate for governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, with a large majority.
People said this, and yesterday, Ugwuanyi went to the council's headquarters in Ikem to meet with them and find out how they are doing.
Obiora Obeagu, the Council Chairman, welcomed the governor and said that the five old communities and 21 autonomous communities in Isi-Uzo Council were glad that "today our governor has brought peace to us." He also said that "today Eha-Amufu is back on its feet."
