According to reports, the supporters were involved in an auto accident a few kilometres from the rally's location. The catastrophe, which claimed the lives of a man and a woman, also resulted in several injuries among APC supporters in the car travelling to the event.
According to Ndiigboworldwide, the bus involved belonged to Onicha South Mass Transit.
According to an eyewitness who spoke to reporters on the condition of anonymity, the tragedy occurred as a result of irresponsible driving by the driver hired to transport supporters to the protest.
"One of the drivers was driving irresponsibly and tragically collided with another car in an attempt to overtake, without regard for his life or the safety of the passengers," the first eyewitness revealed.
"The accident victims were brought to the hospital, but two people, a man and a woman, died instantaneously. "Today was a difficult experience," the insider said.
The Ebonyi State Police Command spokesperson, Chris Anyanwu, did not respond to calls to his phone at the time of reporting this story.
