Professor Obiora Okonkwo, the State Committee's Director General, said it was done to carry Atiku Abubakar's recovery plan to the grassroots to win Anambra State.
He said the endeavour would enable the campaign reach every corner of the State.
Professor Okonkwo told Awka journalists that the state campaign's focus was "as usual" winning.
Professor Okonkwo added that the PDP and its presidential campaign committee had for months won large converts to the Atiku-Okowa ticket and recovery plan, including crucial stakeholders, and were sure of winning the presidential election.
He said it was to repeat the party's Anambra State strategy.
“We are taking the ‘One Ward, Minimum of One Thousand Votes' campaign to the State's 326 wards to make the message ‘win as always' practical and effective.
“With the commencement of ward and polling booth canvassers, which will be inaugurated officially on January 18, our gospel of recovery will be preached to every possible Anambra voter to key into the Atiku-Okowa agenda,” he stated.
Professor Okonkwo said the canvassers would preach the recovery and rescue agenda to all Anambra voters as Atiku-apostles. Okowa's
He admitted that the Atiku-Okowa presidential management committee in Anambra State had won over many converts for the party and was still making gains in the State needed to win the party and presidential candidate.
Okonkwo promised that the PDP in Anambra will win again, but with larger margins as the campaign team sought a considerable percent increase from past victories.
The Atiku-Okowa campaign is also trying to win over Anambra State's 2.5 million registered voters.
“Since the inauguration of the campaign council and management committee, led by Senator Ben Ndi Obi and my humble self, respectively, we have put together a template called “win as always” to inspire PDP supporters and stakeholders and increase the party's acceptance in Anambra State and the surrounding South East.
“With the ‘win as always' philosophy, we believe it's time to improve awareness among our people in rural communities to leverage on the PDP and our party's presidential candidate's attraction and popularity among the Anambra people and Igbo at large.
We believe Atiku-Okowa will win in Anambra. Our "One Ward, Minimum of One Thousand Votes" campaign project, which is expected to complement the "win as always" theme, will launch in the wards and polling booths from January 18 to January 22, 2023, where our apostles for Atiku-Okowa will spread the gospel across all 326 wards and 5720 polling booths.
“Looking at the figures and total votes cast for Anambra State in the 2019 presidential election, where about 625,035 votes were cast and the PDP amassed over 84% of the total votes cast in the State, polling 524,738, hopes are high that the State will witness between ten and fifteen percent increase, if security permits.
“Nigerians across every divide are yearning for the PDP to return to power; we in Anambra State and the South East are not left behind; we want the PDP back, and the recovery plan of Atiku Abubakar is sacrosanct,” Professor Okonkwo said.
