Nweke, who addressed at a town hall gathering over the weekend, stated that his government will facilitate the entrance of investors into Enugu State. These investors will establish firms and employ the state's vast young population.

He argued that the PDP-led administration in Enugu State seemed to be attempting to discourage economic investment in the state. Nweke told the gathering, however, that his government would be distinct.
"Once companies are certain that they will not be required to pay bribes to anyone, that there will be no double taxes, and that government policies would be consistent, they will come. We will establish the conditions for these enterprises to locate in Enugu, and it is these businesses that will produce the employment needed to retain Enugu's youngsters in the city.
The town hall gathering, which featured manifesto speeches by many Enugu State governorship contenders, was held at the Base Events Center in Enugu. The conference was arranged by the Coal City Elites Forum, the Enugu Literary Society, and several media organisations to allow the Ndi Enugu to choose their future governor.
