In a statement published in Abakaliki, the National Convener of the Group, Comrade Ben Nworie, stated that the endorsement was made in order to maintain and develop the positive legacies of the current administration.
Former Ebonyi Broadcasting Corporation board member Nworie believes that Nwifuru is the most qualified candidate to succeed Governor David Umahi.
"As concerned Ebonyi State citizens, we have come together to support justice, equity, and fairness.” We have gathered to engage in a democratic debate and establish an agenda that will continue to uphold and defend the noble values of Ebonyi's founding fathers. "We do so with the knowledge that we must not jeopardise the future of our next generation."
"As proponents of the Turn-By-Turn Initiative, we have said unequivocally within a democratic territory that power should be transferred to Ebonyi North Zone. Thus, we have just witnessed the sequence that began in 1999.
"We, therefore, caution that if this sequence is shortened, the unity and equality of our political system in Ebonyi State could be jeopardised."
"We are well aware that, even in previous elections, all regions have always participated in the exercise of fundamental human rights, but we will continue to talk openly about what should guide the majority of the state's population."
The National Convener stated that the Speaker of the State House of Assembly was deemed the most qualified candidate to succeed Governor David Umahi in 2023 after a thorough examination and evaluation of the candidates, their strengths and weaknesses, their antecedents and competence, and other factors.
He, therefore, urged all Ebonyians to go collect their PVCs in order to vote overwhelmingly for the APC candidate for governor of the state.
