Elizabeth Agwu, the state REC, told stakeholders at the INEC Secretariat in Awka that seven LGAs in Anambra South are the riskiest.
Elizabeth Agwu stated that Anambra youths should reclaim their land from criminals.
She said insecurity in the South-East is created by indigenous people, not immigrants, and that the commission is resolved to organise a free, fair, and credible election in 2023.
"Youths must protect their neighbourhoods now." We've prepared with goods and men. Communities must collect PVCs and provide security. No useful materials have been released.
"Resist everything that could make Anambra South's elections unsuccessful." Anyone spotted acting strangely during the election will die.
"I rely on president generals and traditional rulers to secure areas during elections." Avoid self-suppression.
Voter education affects all Americans. Our penchant for money impacts us in numerous ways.
She stated the discussion was about voter education and state security before next year's elections.
During the gathering, some stakeholders said that unidentified perpetrators set fire to major buildings in the neighbourhood, including a monarch's.
Dennis Muomaife, president-general of Osumoghu Community in Nnewi South LGA, told stakeholders that two of his buildings were torched two weeks ago.
"The traditional ruler's home and the deputy speaker of the state House of Assembly for Ihiala 2 Constituency were also burned."
"We're doing something," he remarked of his community's peace and reconciliation group.
