The royal fathers stated that Governor Ugwuanyi, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate for Enugu North Senatorial District in the 2023 general election, established in Nsukka Zone a specialized medical university and a second university owned exclusively by the Enugu State Government, the State University of Medical and Applied Sciences (SUMAS), Igbo-Eno, Enugu State.

They thanked Governor Ugwuanyi for allowing Nsukka to see the light of day despite the state's limited resources and the nation's economic and security challenges, assuring him that the people of Nsukka Town will vote for him with an overwhelming majority in the upcoming general election to represent Enugu North Senatorial District in the National Assembly.

The traditional rulers also assured the governor that the people of Nsukka Town would overwhelmingly vote for the PDP candidates for governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, his running mate, Barr. Ifeanyi Ossai, the party's candidate for Nsukka/Igbo-Eze South Federal Constituency, Engr. Vita Abba, and the PDP candidates for Nsukka West and Nsukka East constituencies, Hon. Amos

Speaking at a grand reception for their illustrious son, the Chairman of Nsukka Local Government Area, Hon. Barr. Walter Ozioko, the traditional ruler of Owerre Nsukka Autonomous Community, HRH. Igwe Felix Emeka Ugwu, emphasised that Governor Ugwuanyi, who graced the event, did numerous things for their people.

Governor Ugwuanyi, according to Igwe Ugwu, "gave us street lights, traffic lights, good roads, and a new, appropriate stadium, something no previous Enugu governor had done for us."

"And we're claiming that Nsukka will provide you a large number of votes; we'll deliver you in Owerre Nsukka, Ihe, Nkpunano, Nru, and other locations."

In his welcome address, the President General of Nsukka Town Union, Chief Ishiwu Joe Onyeke, reiterated the endorsement of the people of Nsukka Town to vote massively for Gov. Ugwuanyi, Dr. Mbah, and other candidates of the PDP. He also disclosed that they honoured the Chairman of Nsukka LGA, Hon. Barr. Ozioko, "in recognition of his giant strides in developing the council area."

As a former ranking member of the House of Representatives and current governor, they asserted that Governor Ugwuanyi has a wealth of legislative and executive expertise and will bring more spectacular advances to the Nsukka Zone if elected as a senator in 2023.

In a parallel development, the founder of the Power and Victory in Christ Ministry in Nsukka, Senior Prophet Dr. Kan Ebube Muonso, has predicted a complete electoral victory for Governor Ugwuanyi, Dr. Mbah, Engr. Abba, and all other PDP candidates in Enugu State.

Prophet Ebubu Muonso made the prediction while praying for Governor Ugwuanyi and other PDP candidates at his ministry in Nsukka. He told the governor that God's grand plan for his future endeavours will be realised.

The prophet described Governor Ugwuanyi as "a good man and a good governor," revealing that "he (Ugwuanyi) is the only governor who took over the seat of leadership and remembered the youths" and that "he is a man who does not remain silent when he sees someone crying; he must do what will stop your crying."
