Soludo spoke at Aguleri, which is the country home of his predecessor, Chief Willie Obiano. On Sunday, Soludo went to see Obiano for Christmas.
He praised Obiano for the projects he started while he was in office and said that those projects made the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) what it is today.
Soludo said that the visit marked the end of his first nine months in office. He also said that the party would take the APGA flag into the general election in February 2023.
He said that Anambra needed his knowledge and experience because he had been in charge for eight years.
He said, "I will rely on you, and I wish we had a group of former governors to help the current ones, especially those from APGA." He also said that he would rely on his wise advice and partnership because "we deeply appreciate you."
Soludo also promised Obiano that he would back his wife's bid to become a Senator in the next election. He said, "APGA has to win everywhere. The first election is in February, and the second one is in March. We'll reassemble to give Anambara the benefits of democracy, because we're progressives.
He promised that even with all the problems, he would make Anambra shine like a star.
