In an interview on ARISE TV over the weekend that Ndiigbo Worldwide watched, Aniagwu said that Atiku will prioritise roundtable talks with people who are part of armed rebel groups.
Aniagwu, who is also the Delta State Commissioner for Information, said, "Atiku has made it clear that he is going to talk to both state and non-state actors, and the crisis in the South-East is mostly caused by non-state actors."
"Some people see them as troublemakers, while others see them as militants, but Atiku is not going to get involved in labelling." He will talk to them about the problems, and some of the problems are ones he already knows about.
"There are problems with underdevelopment and marginalization, and he says he's going to fix them so that every Nigerian, no matter where they're from, has a seat at the table.” Once those problems are fixed, the people who are upset will be calmed down enough to accept peace."
