In a statement released by the state's public relations officer, DSP Daniel Ndukwe, the state commissioner of police, CP Ahmed Ammani, told people in the state to go about their legal business and "refuse to give in to the miscreants' antics" while operatives follow them.
CP Ammani told area commanders, divisional police officers, and commanders of all the tactical and operational units of the command to "ensure the maximum deployment of all the command's intelligence and operational resources at their disposal to effectively patrol and fish out miscreants who may want to disturb public peace and security and/or disrupt the businesses and other activities of law-abiding citizens, under the guise of enforcing an illegitimate sit-at-home."
He asked law-abiding people to be aware of their safety and report criminal suspects and their activities right away to the nearest police station or to the command's emergency hotlines at 08032003702, 08075390883, 08098880172, or 08086671202.
