2023: Finally, Tinubu reveals source of his wealth, accuses critics of envy

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has finally disclosed the source of his wealth, thereby silencing his critics who had consistently claimed that he did not acquire his wealth legitimately.

The former governor of Lagos State revealed that he amassed his fortune through real estate.

Tinubu stated in an interview with the BBC that he "turned the value" of the real estate he inherited into his wealth.

Tinubu stated that he has not accepted any government appointments or contracts since leaving office as governor in 2007.

You must know how to analyse and ask questions, but not in an accusatory manner. If they are not enemies of wealth, he said, investments are profitable.

"Warren Buffet, one of the wealthiest men in America and the world, serves as an example. He began with stock purchases and brokerages.

"I turned around the value of the property I inherited" I do not dispute my wealth.

I was the most investigated and accused opposition governor for eight years, from 1997 to 2007.

And despite having left the office, I am still present. "I have not accepted an appointment or signed a government contract."

The former governor of Lagos also denied allegations that he receives funds from the Lagos government.

What shall we share? Have they established it? The World Bank and IMF have examined Lagos's record. What is their problem?" It is envy," he continued.

Tinubu stated that he is qualified for the presidency due to his accomplishments as governor.

"I'm different. I am Bola Ahmed Tinubu. "I have ruled Lagos; I have created a modern state that could be its own nation." After being asked why Nigerians should vote for him, he responded, "I've led such a prudent administration."

"From N600 million IGR per month to N5 billion per month is a record; no one else can claim that." I have treated and subdued the Atlantic Ocean surge, which would have killed a large number of people in Lagos. Lagos's infrastructure renewal is excellent. I maintain continuity in Lagos.

He also expressed optimism that he would win the election and stated that "security, economic recovery, and accelerated development" would be his top priorities.

Things are going exceptionally well. I am confident that this election will be held in a free and fair manner. "Because I am the frontrunner, I am receiving many arrows," he added.
