The former governor of Lagos State revealed that he amassed his fortune through real estate.
Tinubu stated in an interview with the BBC that he "turned the value" of the real estate he inherited into his wealth.
Tinubu stated that he has not accepted any government appointments or contracts since leaving office as governor in 2007.

The former governor of Lagos also denied allegations that he receives funds from the Lagos government.

Tinubu stated that he is qualified for the presidency due to his accomplishments as governor.
