So, the group told the people to ignore the order, calling it "senseless" and coming from people who were against the Biafra agenda. This is in response to a video that is going around the internet right now telling people in the South-East to stay home from December 9–14, 2022.
But in a statement released by IPOB's Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the group said that it never told people to stay home on the days above.
Part of the statement said, "We want to make it clear to the people of Biafra, friends of Biafra, and lovers of Biafra freedom that IPOB leadership did not order anyone to stay home on December 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, or 14." "IPOB never told us to stay home on the days listed above because we are not bad people, stupid people, or people without jobs." Biafrans and people who live in Biafra Land should ignore these orders from untrained and stupid people whose goal is to make Biafra activism less appealing to our people. On those days, every Biafran must go about their normal business. The IPB, which cares about our people, can't give them an order to stay home for five days in a row. This is a crucial time of the year when people are trying to decide what to do with their businesses for the year. The point of a Nigerian agent and his backers sitting at home for five days straight is to show how evil and hateful they are toward our people. Their goal is to make our people feel unsafe and make their lives harder than they need to be so they will give up Biafra. How wicked!

IPOB has never stopped people from voting, and the chaos of Nigeria's elections has nothing to do with them. The people who are issuing this brazen order to stay home should know that the IPOB leadership has never given anyone permission to issue an order of this size in Biafraland, so it won't work for them. "Our people should not be afraid to go to work." IPOB has stopped moving forward with their plans and sending people to Biafra Land. "Restoring Biafra is going well, and by the grace of God, we must get out of this cage called Nigeria."
