Ndi-Igbowordwide gathered that the fire outbreak at the popular Ogbo Ogwu Market was caused by an explosion. The fire had destroyed goods and properties worth millions of naira.
The men of the Anambra and Delta states fire services are currently on the ground to put off the fire.
Confirming the incident, the Managing Director of the Anambra State Fire Service, Engr. Martin Agbili, said it affected a section of the market.
The Transition Committee Chairman of Onitsha South Local Government Area was also at the scene of the incident.
But at the time of filing this report, SaharaReporters could not ascertain if there had been more casualties and destruction caused by the fire.
