Security personnel from the Aboh Mbaise Division Police Station engaged the thugs in a gun battle with the help of the local youths, according to a source who spoke to Ndiibgoworldwide.
The source said: “Contrary to what was dished out as heavy shooting that boomed at about 8.45pm, yesterday, there were only two gunshots from suspected unknown gun men.One of the victims,a northerner died on the road to Owerri while being taken to the hospital.
“The other one,a northerner too, was beheaded-the bandits made away with the head.
“Since morning, series of meetings had been held with the Hausa Community here in Enyiogugu and they have been assured of their safety even they agreed with us that it was not our fault.”
He said the remains of the beheaded man had been taken to Owerri for burial.
