In Aba, Abia State, yesterday, hundreds of ordained ministers, including pastors and apostles of the Apostolic Christian Church Mission (ACCM), protested the sealing of their national headquarters, on Omuma Road.

They claimed that on December 31, 2022, the state governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu, who is not a member of the church and whose order sealed the church, which has over 1,000 branches nationwide with the highest concentration in the state where it was established more than 72 years ago, sealed the church.

The demonstrators, who were singing and dancing in white and black cassocks near the Osisioma Flyover on the Aba-Owerri road, carried signs that read, among other things, "Ikpeazu, honor God to avert divine vengeance," "Unseal our ACCM at 34 Omuma road Aba," "ACCM does not encourage tribalism," etc.

Apostle Christopher Ogbuagu, the church's spokesperson, stated in a statement to journalists: "There are a small number of our church elders who are politicians and who are related to the state governor.

Ikpeazu desires to  foist an unpopular bishop on the church, following the death of the former bishop.
